Last Day of Central Europe Trip

I just wanted to say that my Central Europe trip is coming to an end and I am hoping to put up a post as soon as possible when I get back. I pray that God gets us home safely so that we can tell those around us of what God is doing in Central Europe and what needs to be done, for His Glory. The harvest is plenty but the workers are few. Let my heart be burdened always for the things I have seen and what God has laid on my heart. Let the world cry out with praises to the Most High.

Resources for Men and Marriage (Even for Women)

I know this is specifically for Missions and ministry work, however I feel that I should strive to use blogging in many different ways. Therefore, I wrote a note on facebook which is basically blogging so I decided to add the post to my blog site. This is something I pray I am able to do more often, not just with resources but also with my thoughts and studies. Thank you.

I have been looking to many great men for guidance as I became engaged to Melisa and have found some interesting resources from some men that I already look up to. Therefore, I wanted to share some resources I have found, not specifically fully read but find it interesting that they have written and spoken on the issues of family, marriage, and being a Man.

The first key resource I have found is Mark Driscoll's sermons on Marriage. The first sermon being entitled “Marriage and Women,” and the second sermon entitled “Marriage and Men.” I encourage all men to listen to Driscoll's sermon on marriage and men if not both. It has really challenged and convicted me in many areas. The links follow below:

Marriage and Men (A must Hear) -- http://www.marshillchurch.org/media/trial/marriage-and-men

Marriage and Women (Must hear for Women) -- http://www.marshillchurch.org/media/trial/marriage-and-women

Some books I have found and that I have started to read and that are on the top of my reading list are:

Free through PDF by John Piper and Wayne Grudem -- "Biblical Manhood and Womanhood" -- this link leads you to a free copy of the book: http://www.desiringgod.org/ResourceLibrary/OnlineBooks/ByTitle/1599_Recovering_Biblical_Manhood_and_Womanhood/

Andreas Kostenberger book: "God, Marriage, and Family" -- http://www.amazon.com/God-Marriage-Family-Rebuilding-Foundation/dp/1581345801

Another book I know many of my friends have read that is to be amazing is by Stuart Scott, "The Exemplary Husband: A Biblical Perspective." -- http://www.amazon.com/Exemplary-Husband-Biblical-Perspective/dp/1885904312/ref=pd_sim_b_10

There is also a book to counter this one for women called "The Excellent Wife" by Martha Peace.

I am doing this because one, I feel like I need to share things that I am learning about with people more often and this is a way that many are able to do so to masses of people. I am also able to give you all the links to see, hear, and buy these resources. I am also hoping to continue in doing this with more of my writing and thoughts, but this is a start. Thank you.

Update on life...

It has been a while since I have blogged at all. Therefore, I see fit that it is about time for me to do so. Life has been good, God has been blessing as always, even in ways we don't always see as blessings at first. I am in my last semester of classes, which all are decently exciting. I am in a Prayer Class with Dr. Henderson here on campus which is very interesting and seems to be a great class in which I shall grow a great deal in. I am also taking Hermeneutics and Old Test. Backgrounds which both I am extremely excited about with two General Education Classes.

I started last semester working at the bookstore here on campus and have enjoyed it greatly and found out a few days ago that they are going to keep me past the seasonal time period so I am greatly appreciative of that. Melisa and myself have been doing great, she is starting to get busy now with clinicals starting back up with nursing and her being very nervous about what the future holds with a great deal of tests coming up after graduation and decisions to make on which Hospital she wants to work at (so please be in prayer for her during this time).

I have the same group of guys I had last semester in my prayer group so please be in prayer for that I am teaching the right lessons and ministering to them diligently so that they may be growing in the areas that they need to the most.

With my missions trip preparations, we have been working on different areas about how to present the Gospel and what the Gospel truly is which we haven't been able to get into much detail yet being that the meetings just started. However, I see our team growing together more and more every meeting and am happy I am with the different people God has placed around me for this ministry opportunity. Please continue to be praying for my support because there is still a big chunk to be taken care of.

Well I will quit rambling, I am not good at this whole blogging thing I feel as if I am just babbling. However if you would ever want to contact me please do so by contacting me on Facebook.com or my email.

Blessings to All,

JOSH KEITH
